Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport
Winning the construction of SKyCourt, the building of the Liszt Ferenc International Airport that has become an iconic building in the meanwhile, and then reconstruction of T2A and T2B Terminals and, a few years later, the works of the new T2B side passenger pier performed as a general contractor was an enormos pleasure and challenge for us. With these projects our capital received an airport that is outstanding in terms of safety engineering, landscape and passenger requirements alike. By using architecturally spectacular and well-considered solutions, the immense large glass surfaces, the light and transparent spaces, the most modern passenger information, package sorting and passenger safety systems, we could create a complex of buildings serving the requirements of our age and the future to the maximum extent
In the framework of the project we replaced the 10 MVA and the related 10kV station at T2A Terminal, the 3 existing 1.6 MVA transformers and the 0.4 kv main distributor at T2B Terminal and extended the existing 10 kV equipment. We installed a new cat7 structured cabling system with near 2,500 end-points in the building. The total weight of the steel structure installed was 1,500 tons. With its fast and precise construction works KÉSZ Group was awarded the Construction Award of Excellence in the transport facility category.
