IQ Kecskemét

IQ Kecskemét Kft. established an industrial-technological center with the view to develop the region's innovation potential with an EU support amounting to 2,155 billion forints. The purpose of the development project was to create an industrial-technological center during the operation of which - owing to its innovation-friendly environment and technological solutions developed at a high standard - it is capable to receive innovation projects in any life cycle. It is about research development, product and procedure innovation, design, testing or even supporting entering of the market.  

Development of the IQ Kecskemét Industrial Innovation Center implemented by KÉSZ Építő és Szerelő Zrt. was set up from several project elements linked organically to each other. Accordingly, the new building constructed accommodates the intellectual tasks and educational and service units of the innovation center. In relation to the production technology and information technology purchases, by reconstruction of the existing building, infrastructural conditions indispensable for installation of the technology have been established. During the project, the technology tools, design and modeling software required for the targeted activity and the hardware devices and other equipment required for operation have been purchased.

The development project was implemented as an important milestone of Kecskemét "western towngate" in the area bordered by the Kecskemét College, the Four Points by Sheraton Kecskemét Hotel and Conference Center and KÉSZ Ipari Gyártó Kft. The project, which was awarded a grant of 155 208 956 forints in the operative program GOP-1.2.1-12/B „Innovation and technology parks and development centers”, with a total budget of 3,078 billion forints started on 30 September 2014 and ended at the closing of the 2007-2013 program period. The project was implemented with support of the European Union and co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund.
