Minecraft

We announced the winner at our Minecraft competition

Last November we launched a prize game for the Z and Y generations focusing on sustainability, creativity and, of course, construction industry. The gamers may enter a Minecraft server created specifically for this purpose on the open-world sandbox video game platform based on the description in KÉSZ Group's Instagram page where they could build on the plot of land equipped with their own code. Finally almost one thousand competition works were received and better and better solutions came into being: water turbines, solar panel rings, geothermic heating, green zone by levels, huge glass surfaces, automation - just to mention a few. The digital construction works were monitored and supported by two popular video influencers, Uborcraft and luckeY and the masterpieces completed were evaluated based on various criteria by a professional jury consisting of 5 members who finally found the designs of three skyscrapers the best.

The winner was Márk Tarnai, a 18 years old mechanic student. "I have been devoted to the Minecraft mania since I was little but nowadays I had slightly less time for it but as I heard of the competition, I picked up the thread again. Basically I always liked to build and now it is a splendid opportunity for trying myself. However, I did not expect to win the competition - not even my family believed it for the first time. The theme itself was also sympathetic since sustainability will be an even more important theme in the future" - said Márk who won the first place with a very illustrious skyscraper. "I joined a little bit later and I had only one week to build my conception. I had no basic conception rather it became a continuously forming work and I strove to find out always something creative. Finally I retained the elements I liked and I managed to finish the final building during approximately 40 hours. Of course, I watched the other competitors, they were good but I tried to create something different." Márk would like to find a job in the field of construction industry in the future, too. "In the field of mechanics I'm very interested in 3 D modeling and I need creativity in this field. If I finish and am welcome, I can imagine my future also in KÉSZ Group" - he added.

By this prize game KÉSZ Group intended to call the attention to one of its important industry objectives, i.e. sustainability, mostly amongst the Z and Y generations. "We are always glad if we, as a group of construction companies focusing on technology, succeed to move young people and show to them how many opportunities there are in the construction industry, moreover, this industry can be even cool and, last but not least, sustainable. Enormous creative entries full of idea have been received and we wanted to build many of them even actually. The issue of sustainability is one of the most serious challenges to construction industry and it is good to see how the theme moved young people and how high quality work they have performed. Although we rewarded the top 3 works, the creators of the 40 top rated buildings can also read the evaluation of the professional jury" – said Tibor Metykó, the marketing and communications director of KÉSZ Group.
