New stations were handed over in our M3 metro reconstruction project
In the middle of May 3 stations of M3 metro in the city were opened again for the public. The stations of Kálvin square, Corvin quarter and Semmelweis Clinics await the passengers of Budapest in a new guise. The last finishing works before hand-over were completed by placing the metal coverings designed and manufactured by KÉSZ Metaltech specifically to the site.
One thing of interest of the project is that, for the purposes of state preservation, the walls of the stations were cladded by a special antigraffiti layer not yet used and for false ceilings also unique solutions were applied.
During the reconstruction several rarely seen umbrella structures of more than 3000 m² and cable covers of 1800 m² were installed. Thanks to our strategic partners, bim.GROUP in charge of design works and Baumetall Design Kft. participating in manufacturing, for their cooperation. We thank also to SWIETELSKY Kft. performing reconstruction of the stations and the Metro Reconstruction Project Directorate performing the project management works of BKV Zrt. for the joint work and we wish much success to the team for the works in the other stations.
